ALL the pupils in one year at a dale primary school are celebrating a big achievement.

Six pupils in Ingleton Primary School year six attained a 100 per cent score across the board in their SATs exams. Pupils undertook tests in maths, reading, punctuation and spelling and were unanimous in their verdict that the maths was the hardest.

Teacher Caroline White said: “They have all done incredibly well and since the beginning of the year they have come on leaps and bounds.”

Nationally all pupils coming to the end of key stage two are tested as part of the national curriculum. This covers work they have studied during the last four years.

All the pupils are excited about moving on to their chosen secondary schools in September.

Headteacher Karen Whitaker said: “These results will stand them all in good stead as they commence their secondary education.”

She added: “We are all so proud of their achievement and really pleased at how hard they worked.
