Mums put on a magical afternoon tea party

MAGICAL MOMENT: Danny and Stephanie Hunt of Amethyst Magic with four-month-old son Rex ahead of the magic show they put on for Butterknowle's jubilee tea TM pic

MORE than 130 people booked a place at Butterknowle Village Hall for an afternoon tea to celebrate the Queen’s platinum jubilee.

The event was organised by a group of mums from the village’s toddler group after they realised no plans had been made for a celebration in Butterknowle.

Along with the tea, people enjoyed a variety of traditional games, a raffle, a lemonade stand and a performance by resident TV celebrity magician Danny Hunt, along with his wife Stephanie and their four month old son Rex, who will become quite possibly the world’s youngest magician when he appears in the couple’s summer tour of shows.
