NURSERY and reception children at Middleton-in-Teesdale School treated parents, family and friends to a musical concert last week.
They were showing off the skills they have been learning this year.
The children, under the tutelage of teacher Paul Waite, performed several songs including Row, Row, Row Your Boat and Frere Jacques using drums and ukuleles.
Several pupils even performed solo pieces to show off their mastery of the musical instruments.
As well as learning about rhythm and taking instruction from the conductor, the children have also started to learn a few chords. The mini-concert lasted half an hour.
