AREAS which may not benefit from a temporary TV mast being switched on at Bilsdale have been revealed

The original mast was damaged by fire and the operator Arqiva hopes to have a temporary mast switched on between October 13 and October 19.

Arqiva says coastal and dales areas in North Yorkshire and County Durham are likely to be among the places where services are not restored. A map suggests some areas in Teesdale and Barnard Castle may be among the not-

spots.

People over 65, those with disability, and socially vulnerable groups will receive priority help from the company.

A call centre will provide advice, and an engineer will be on hand.

For those unable to receive a signal Arqiva says it will provide a selection of options, for example Freesat TV.
