Middleton-in-Teesdale Mart

THE annual special show and sale of store cattle attracted an excellent entry of 304 stores – the best quality shows seen in recent times.

Huge congratulations go to all vendors for putting forward such a quality show which is a credit to themselves and the market.

The pre-sale show was highly anticipated with a huge ringside of spectators.

Thanks go to sponsors Philip Holden (Rural), I’Anson’s Feeds, Eden Farm Supplies, Tithebarn and H&H Insurance Brokers. The judging was left to Richard Priestley, of Brampton, who did an outstanding job in picking his overall champion.

Winning the Philip Holden (Rural) trophy this year was a Limousin heifer from Mr BR Lawson & Son, Buddle House. This showy heifer went on to make £2,400, selling to the judge respectfully.
