TWO members of staff at The Manor House care home, in Barnard Castle, have taken up new roles.

Lynn Cuthbertson is now home manager having previously been deputy manager, while Sharon Harrison is the new deputy manager, having previously been principal senior carer.

The duo have both always worked in the care sector, and both joined the team at The Manor House when the home opened in 2009.

Ms Cuthbertson holds the level 5 health and social care management diploma and Ms Harrison is currently working towards this.

Ms Cuthbertson said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as home manager of The Manor House.

“We strive to provide the highest standard of care for each of our residents in beautiful surroundings, and we are always looking at new ways to help residents enjoy life to the full.”

Ms Harrison added: “The Manor House is a really nice place to work with great team support. We look after each of our residents in the same way we would look after a family member.

“I’m very pleased to be taking on this new role.”

The Manor House provides residential, dementia and respite care for elderly people. The home was the first Manor House development to be opened by care provider Hadrian Healthcare Group.
