FINE wines, a digital roadshow and funding for consultancy fees were among the topics discussed at the December meeting of Enterprise House’s business networking group, in Barnard Castle.

Carrie Wilson, of Bon Couer Fine Wines, from Melsonby, spoke about the various products on offer while Sue Gilbert discussed Teesside University’s digital roadshow free morning taster sessions on cybercrime.

The university has offered taster sessions at The Work Place, in Newton Aycliffe.

John Atkinson of the North East Business Support Fund spoke about a European Union funding scheme which provides 40 per cent of funding for projects of between £2,500 and £8,000 where a consultants assistance is needed.

This includes were businesses need outside help with anything from rebranding to ISO quality requirements.

He said: “It can be anything where a business needs third party assistance.”

Sue Hewison, from Handelsbanken, in Darlington, was the lucky winner of a bottle of wine from Bon Couer.
