WHODUNNIT? The cast of Teesdale Players’ murder mystery Who Killed the Holiday Rep? at their dress rehearsal

A MURDER mystery will be played out against a backdrop of fake tan and Hawaiian shirts this week.

The Teesdale Players will take to the stage at Cotherstone Village Hall for two performances of Who Killed The Holiday Rep on Friday and Saturday (March 16 and 17).

It follows on from previous murder mystery nights staged by the group, which have seen a vicar and caretaker as victims.

This time, the play is set in Benidorm in the late 1980s, with Lynn Metcalfe playing the unfortunate victim Alice Drabble, holiday rep for the Golden Promise Travel Company.

Suspects include American tourist Candy Tinkler (Fiona Dry) and her teenage son Rocky (Tom Metcalfe).

Others under suspicion include Hotel Britannia owner Lucky Eric Braithwaite, alias Peter Anderson, and John Mason as barman Juan Adonis plus entertainer Babylon Mist (Alison Brass) and tourist Rag Rossiter (Anna Conley).

Helping the audience to solve whodunnit will be Paul Burke as Waldorf, the CIA’s finest, and Linda Gregory as Benthan, from Scotland Yard.

Showtime for both performances is 7.30pm, and tickets are £5. Contact director Rachel Markham on 01833 650609 to reserve tickets.

Anyone going along is welcome to take their own drinks and nibbles.
