THE Teesdale Players will take to the stage this weekend with another of their popular murder-mysteries.

In this year’s production, the Cotherstone-based group will challenge the audience to work out Who Killed the Secret Agent.

The play will be performed by a small cast at Cotherstone Village Hall on Friday, May 31, and Saturday, June 1.

The James Bond-style mystery is set in the master spy’s 1960s heyday.

Produced and directed by Rachel Markham, Ross Law takes the role of the suave and sophisticated agent.

Helping solve whodunnit are Peter Anderson, Tom Metcalfe and Fiona Dry.

All the fun gets underway at 7.30pm each night, with the usual quiz and puzzles for the audience to solve along the way. Prizes will be awarded, raffles held and brains challenged with the money raised going towards the upkeep of the village hall.

Tickets cost just £5 and can be reserved by calling 01833 650609.

Those going along are welcome to take their own drink and nibbles.

Who Killed the Secret Agent is the latest in the Players’ murder mystery nights.

In previous years, they have killed off a vicar and a holiday rep.
