TUNING UP: Members of Feedback rehearsing for the fundraising gig at Reeth Memorial Hall on Saturday

A GROUP of musical teenagers who learn, play and rehearse at The Hub, in Barnard Castle, are putting on a charity show to raise funds for those affected by floods which devastated part of the Yorkshire dales earlier this year.

The show will take place at Reeth Memorial Hall on Saturday, November 9.

First up will be acoustic duo Katie and Lewis, playing favourites from the likes of George Ezra to Fairground Attraction and James Arthur.

Then, the four-piece rock band Feedback will take centre stage.

Expect everything from Green Day to the Arctic Monkeys.

The gig came about because one of the musicians involved lives in Arkengarthdale, and his dad helped put the event together.

Four of the youngsters currently attend Teesdale School.

All those involved say they are keen to raise money for the Two Ridings Community Foundation, which helps those hit by the floods in Swaledale and Arkengarthdale.

Jill McLachlan, from Boldron, whose daughter Kirsty is a member of Feedback, said: “The dales have so many talented young people and I think it is wonderful that they are wanting to use their skills to help others in our community.”

Tickets are £5 in advance and £6 on the door. Call 01748 884759 for more details and tickets.
