Teesdale Camera Club

THE club, previously Teesdale Photographic Society, held its annual presentation dinner on Tuesday, May 8, at the Moorcock Inn, Eggleston.

Club members enjoyed a superb meal in the newly refurbished dining room.

Trophies were awarded to Jim Nicholson for the best audio visual presentation; Nick Browne – best print (Nick was also awarded second and third places in the print competition, which was judged by all the members, a fantastic result); Martin Rogers won the club league, maintaining a high standard of digital images over eight entries on varied subjects; and best digital image was awarded to Sheila Wylie.

When the “points for places” in all the competitions were added up, Nick and Sheila tied for photographer of the year status.

As far as can be remembered, a tie for the title has never occurred before.

The new season starts in August with an outdoor shoot, meeting at the Strathmore Arms, Holwick, on August 30, at 6.30pm, followed by meetings at 7.30pm every alternate week in the Masonic Hall, Middleton in Teesdale.

New members always welcome – any ability, any type of camera.
