A VILLAGE drama group comes of age next month when it stages an annual pantomime.

Members of Dalton Amateur Dramatic Society (DADS) are getting ready to put on Peter Pan.

With 20 years under their belt, the cast are adding the final touches to this year’s fun-filled production which is being staged at Dalton and Gayles Village Hall.

The first performance will be on Thursday, February 20, followed by two more shows on Friday, February 21 and Saturday, February 22.

All performances start at 7.30pm.

Co-directors Becca Blenkiron and Adam Wallis said: “This year’s pantomime contains the usual tongue-in-cheek frivolities, an abundance of songs, doolally dances and amusing costumes.”

The panto tells the tale of Peter Pan’s battle with Captain Hook and his paralysing fear of the hungry crocodile. After taking Wendy and her brothers to Neverland, the story follows the Lost Boys’ adventures trying to defeat Captain Hook and his pesky Pirates.

The directors say that with a fairy-tale ending, fans won’t be short of giggles at this year’s show.
