THE old adage of “the show must go” held true during a performance of Carols by Candlelight, at The Witham, earlier this month.
The annual event, organised by Jane Ford, featured three choirs – The No Added Sugar community choir, the recently formed Rondeau Choir and the female voices of Concordia, who reform once a year to take part in the event.
When one member of Concordia was unable to take her place, Teesdale School sixthformer Beth Stenlake stepped in to help.
The 16-year-old met her fellow Concordia singers on the afternoon of the show for a quick rehearsal before the group took to the stage.
All three choirs entertained an audience of 150 to a variety of seasonal pieces, culminating in a singalong.
