Another US band to perform at Middleton-in-Teesdale Social Club
A DALE social club is proving to be alluring for bands from across the pond with yet another American ensemble making a bee-line to entertain folk as part of their European tour.
The Love Birds, an indie from San Francisco, are heading to Middleton-in-Teesdale Sports and Social Club at the end of the month in one of only three dates they will be playing in the UK.
Last month the club played host to Atlanta’s Gringo Star, who took the time to return to the village after enjoying their previous gig so much.
Charlie Ertola, Eli Groshelle, Thomas Rubenstein and Eli Wald formed The Love Birds in 2016 and have taken inspiration from musicians including The Byrds, REM and Teenage Fanclub.
They are currently promoting their latest album, which has been mastered by Norman Blake of Teenage Fanclub fame, In Love’s Corner.
They will be performing on Friday, March 29, ,supported by Teesdale’s very own Keeping Safe. Tickets are £5 and can be purchased in advance from Mike Carr on 07818 040066 or Sue Bainbridge at the club. Doors open at 8pm.
