Concern for safety of missing boy
Dec 13, 2005
POLICE are appealing for information about the whereabouts of a 14-year-old boy who went missing from his home in Barnard Castle.
Joshua Sumner-Stagg who has been living in the dale since the summer, was last seen in the town centre on Friday, December 2 at 10pm.
The teenager is 5ft tall, with brown eyes and of slim build and is described by police as "streetwise".
Sgt Mick Urwin of Barnard Castle police said: "By nature of his age Joshua is vulnerable and at this time of the year, with temperatures dropping below zero, we need to know that he is safe and well.
"Joshua has made no contact with his family since he disappeared. He has gone missing before and turned up in the Manchester area."
When Joshua left he was wearing a blue and turquoise baseball cap, a grey zip-up jacket with orange lining, blue Adidas tracksuit bottoms and red soled white Nike trainers.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0845 6060365.
