Teesdale seeks 6% rise

TEESDALE council is today (Wednesday) being asked to approve an increase of 6% in its share of the council tax. Council tax bills would rise an overall 9.5%, with the county council up 9.2%; the police authority up 23.5% and average parish council increases of 3.2%. Rokeby, Brignall and Egglestone Abbey parish would become the most expensive at £1,175.63p (Band D property); Marwood is the cheapest, £1,147.32p.
