HAVE YOUR SAY AND WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

Feb 19, 2003

The draft report now goes out to public consultation until February 27. People are invited to inspect the plan and make comments on it.

A full copy of the report can be ordered from Teesdale Council for £7.50, or summary copies of the report are available, free of charge, from:

• Teesdale Council,

• Barnard Castle Library,

• Barnard Castle Tourist Information Centre,

• Middleton post office or Middleton TIC.

A full report will then be completed by the end of March, and it is hoped some of the measures could begin almost immediately. “When we get comments back from people, there’s a need for a steering group,” said Teesdale Council’s Director of Development Services, Tony Seaman. “We have to be careful that there’s an opportunity to involve people in every part of the process. If people want to be involved, then maybe we can set up a working group.”
