Don’t stew over queues!
Aug 28, 2002
PEEVED over parking? Stewing over queuing or tired of the traffic – then the county council wants to hear from you.
An invitation has been issued for residents of Barnard Castle and Middleton-in-Teesdale to write in to the county council if they are experiencing traffic and parking problems there. Judging by past experience and Teesdale’s well-documented traffic trauma, they can expect some very forthright replies.
A strategy will then be devised to form part of the county’s mini package of traffic measures in its Local Transport Plan. The information will also be drawn upon by the Market Towns Initiative, currently forming action plans for revitalising the dale in the wake of the Foot and Mouth crisis.
