Dale radio presenter up for 'broadcasting Oscar'

A TEESDALE radio presenter has been nominated for a national radio award, alongside the likes of Chris Evans, Chris Moyles and Christian O'Connell.
Katey Wallace, a presenter on Radio Teesdale, has been shortlisted in the Rising Star category of the Sony Radio Awards.
She is described by judges as: "A radio natural. Funny, original, likeable and listenable. The dream combination! Katey is completely herself - a truly rare commodity. Destined for great things."

Also in the Rising Star category are Chris Younie (The Hits), Phil Clifton (XFM), Rosie Tratt (Oxford FM) and Singing Henry (Kerrang FM).
The winners will be announced at the Grosvenor House Hotel on May 11.
