£60,000 jewellery stolen

POLICE are investigating the theft of jewellery worth £60,000 from a house in Staindrop between July 1-12.





Items include a Rolex 32-diamond watch valued at £18,000; a gents rose gold Rolex watch (£12,000) a 1932 rose gold Rolex watch with leather strap (£5,000) a ladies gold and diamond necklace with matching rings and earings (£17,500) a pink sapphire and diamond set of rose gold necklace, matching earings and rings (£8,000).

"We should like to hear from anyone when these items surface", said Sgt David Storey of Barnard Castle police.
