Car damaged in Barney town centre

AN appeal for witnesses has been made after damage was caused to a car in the centre of Barnard Castle.

A spokesman for the town's police said it was thought the rear, near quarter panel of a grey Toyota Land Cruiser had been punched.

The incident happened at 3.10pm on Monday, June 2. The car was parked in Galgate, opposite the Morrisons junction.

A local man has been arrested an released on bail pending further inquiries.
