Another theft of coping stones

MORE coping stones have been stolen from a dale wall.

In the latest incident, which happened between May 15 and 29, thieves targeted a dry stone wall at Cross Lanes, on the A66 near Bowes.

During recent months, a number of coping stones have gone missing from walls, with incidents reported at Staindrop and Whorlton, among other places.

Anyone who think they may have seen the Cross Lanes stones being taken should contact police on 0845 6060365.
