MEMBERS of Teesdale District Council's overview and scrutiny committee have appointed Newton Wood as chairman for the fifth consecutive year.
Cllr Richard Bell remains vice-chairman.
The scrutiny committee reviews not only the district council's own policies, but also other aspects of public services.
Within the committee, there are four panels: finance; performance; environment and services, with committee members Richard Bell, Ken Coates, Tony Cooke and Paul Ryman chairing each respectively.
Cllrs Tony Cooke and Mike English will represent the district on the Durham County health scrutiny sub-committee, whilst Cllrs Wood and Cooke will attend the North East Regional Scrutiny Network.
