POLICE in Teesdale played their part in bringing an incident, which began in the Scottish borders, to its conclusion.
A number of police vehicles were called to Copeland Road, between West Auckland and Evenwood on Saturday.
A spokeswoman for Durham Police said the force had received a call for help from Lothian and Borders Police asking for assistance in halting a car.
She said that in addition to the police vehicles involved, the force helicopter was also called out to track the suspicious car.
She confirmed the car had been stopped and that matter was being dealt with the officers from Lothian and Borders.
