Durham listens

I was very pleased to read about the outcome for the residents in upper Teesdale, their sucess in improving the recycling facilities was much needed.
Some residents of Teesdale were worried that when the Unitary Council was set up they would loose out. This is one of the results that shows Durham does listen, possibly more than TDC did.
It may be because Durham has more resources. What ever the reason I, as a County Councillor rejoyce in any result that benefits the area.
It's up to the residents, with the help of the local M.P, County Councillors, and Parish Councillors to press for improvements. Don't be afraid to ask. You may not get everything you ask for but unless you ask you will get nothing.
