Readers of the current Durham County News will have seen a short article about the new 'Nest' gallery ('Artistic Hub in Barnard Castle'). The statement that the Teesdale Artists Network supports the Nest Gallery is wrong.
As an artist in the Teesdale Artists Network I know that the group does not actively support the new gallery. Some members of the group submitted work to the opening exhibition but were directed to do so as individuals and do not represent the Network as a whole. Further, the forthcoming Teesdale Artists Network Open Studios event, organised annually in October, will not use the Nest gallery as a hub.
