Dog mess

Please, please, please could dog owners clean up after their pets when out for a walk with them. I walk my child to school and back each day using the path that runs alongside Barnard Castle cricket field and every day we have to dodge the mess left behind by people who must just be too lazy to pick it up. This isn't too much to ask. I too am a dog owner and like many other responsible dog owners I regularly walk my dog along the aformentioned path and like them would not dream of leaving anything behind for someone else to stand in. It is also not ok to leave the mess if it is in the grass verge as children will often choose to run along here, something which currently fills me with dread. There are enough signs along here and all around our town to remind us of our obligations, please read them and put your mess in the bin!!!
