Park runners brave snow over 5k race
Teesdale Athletic Club - STEVE Moss braved the snow on January 19, for the Darlington park run, taking 22.43 minutes and was 7th of the 38 runners covering the 5k distance.
On February 3, Michael Thompson took just 20.10 (8th position) and Andrew Knox 21.15 (12th).
The Old Monks multi-terrain race was held in Hart Village on January 6 with 186 runners. Russell Collins was first home for Teesdale AC at 24th (4th MV45) in 36.58 and Andrew Knox was 68th in 41.24.
There was a 171 turnout for the Clay Bank East fell race covering 5.7 miles and 1,000ft of climbing. Denise Tunstall was 83rd and 1st F45 in 50.45. On January 13 Denise took part in the Gerry Kearsley multi-terrain handicap race. With a run time of 49.59 she was 49th out of the 89 runners. Steve Moss ftook part in the Carlisle Resolution 10k on January 20, taking 43.52 and 38th place (4th M50) out of the 150 finishers.
On January 26 Denise Tunstall took on the Crosby Commoner fell race and was 12th and 2nd female in 1:13:47. Entries are now open for the Raby Castle 10k and fun run to be held on Sunday, May 26.
