Concert season opens with quartet performance

THE Richmondshire Concerts season opens on September 24 with a performance by the Allegri Quartet.
The quartet is the longest-established chamber ensemble in Britain.
Its membership and its repertoire have been regularly renewed over six decades, and the quartet is famed for its fresh and sparkling interpretations. As well as performing a recent quartet commissioned from Alec Roth, the group will be joined by violist Graham Oppenheimer for two quintets by Mozart and Brahms.
The concert will take place at 7.30pm, in the Influence Church, a converted ex-cinema in Richmond.
Tickets are £14 from www.rsconcerts.org or Richmond’s Castle Hill Bookshop, or at the door, subject to availability.
